Description
Accessible 2048 is the first iOS release from Oriol Gomez, famous for a number of Windows and Mac games like Beatstar Pro. As the name would suggest, it's a rendition of the incredibly popular puzzle game 2048. You are presented with a 4 by 4 board, and initially start out with two tiles with the number 2 on them. You can "slide" the board in any direction, which will cause every piece on it to move as far as possible. If this causes two pieces with the same number to collide, they'll be merged into a single piece containing the multiplied number of the 2 it came from. So, if a piece with the number 2 would collide with another number 2 piece, you'd be left with a single tile with the number 4. Every time you make a move, a new tile gets dropped somewhere on the board, either with the number 2 or 4. Your ultimate goal is to reach the titular number of 2048 by combining these tiles before the board gets completely filled up and there are no empty spaces. If this happens, the game is over!
Oriol's iOS rendition can be played either with or without VoiceOver. With VoiceOver, you can simply drag your finger around the board to look around, and if you want to slide the board, you can swipe with three fingers in the desired direction. If you are playing without VoiceOver then you can simply swipe with one finger instead. The game also includes large, easy to read numbers for those with limited vision, as well as a few sound effects to make the experience more pleasant.
