Description
Like their first title, Baloon master, Perilous marathon is a fast action arcade style adventure. Running, good for your health and not at all dangerous, accept that for some reason best known to yourself, you decide to run in a field littered with electrical pits, blazing fires and swinging blades, not only that, but expect to be bombarded by continual artillery and deadly rolling boulders, and even menaced by killer horses! (that's right, Black beauty is out for your blood!). Fortunately, you might find power ups to help you out, from speedups, to very quickly deploying bomb defusers, to less helpful things such as slow downs or traps to hold you in place.
As you might expect, all of this also comes with a competitive menu of top scores, and even some achievements to earn along the way.
Playing the game is quite literally as simple as putting one foot in front of the other. Your continually moving to the right, but holding the right arrow will speed you up just as the left arrow will slow you down, whilst up arrow will jump and down will duck (good for dodging those horrible horses). R will throw rocks, which might be necessary if, ---- or rather when, you come upon some unbreakable walls, whilst D will deploy any bomb defusers you might have collected.
The shareware version of the game can be quite happily played for free, but will cut out after five minutes, and doesn't allow score posting . To get unlimited running and access to the scoreboard, you will need to buy the game at $5.
